| OverView | Our main goal is to provide a way to connect people with shipping needs with a vast number of available shippers. These shippers can be commercial companies, or private individuals who have the necessary equipment to safely ship your items from one location to another. By doing this, the user has the potential of saving hundreds of dollars over conventional shipping methods.
While the name of our site is "LowBidShips", this does not mean that the person who bids the lowest amount will win the listing. The most important thing to remember is that the person listing their item must feel confident that the item will arrive at its destination safely. | | | | User's Role | As a user, we provide you with a free account to create your listing. We take you through a step-by-step process to provide the necessary information for a potential shipper to bid on your listing.
Once your listing is active on our site, it's only a matter of time before shippers will start placing bids. If a user has a question, they can use the provided form to post their question, giving you the opportunity to respond to their inquiry.
When the listing time expires, you will then select the user whom you feel is most qualified to ship your item. This does not neccessarily have to be the least expensive bid, as the most important thing is that your shipment arrives safely.
Payment is made by submitting the total amount of the accepted bid using our payment system. Once you are satisfied that your shipment has been delivered, you will close the listing, and the shipper will receive the remaining balance of the funds after the "Match Fee" has been deducted. The only cost to you is the total amount that you have accepted for delivering your shipment.
After your shipment arrives at it's destination, you will then have the opportunity to leave feedback on your shipper's profile. This feedback system is designed to allow other potential users to determine if a particular shipper is reliable and trustworthy. By maintaining the highest possible feedback, not only are potential shippers earning money, but users can be confident that their shipments will arrive safely, saving them valueable time and money as well. | | | | Shipper's Role | As a shipper, we provide you with a free account to sign up and bid on potential shipments. For verification purposes, we do require you to enter personal information (see our security section below) in order to participate and bid on a listing. We encourage you to provide as much information as possible so that potential users will be comfortable with your shipping ability. We will not disclose any personally identifiable information to any user, but convey to them that we have collected such information.
After registering, feel free to browse the listings. The details page of each listing will provide the specifics for the shipment, including a description, special shipping instructions or requirements, maximum bid amount accepted, pictures, and a general map of the the origin and destination route. We provide a method for you to ask questions, and view questions and answers that others have posted. When you are ready, you can place your bid.
If your bid is accepted, we wil put you in contact with the person listing the shipment. It will be up to you to contact the user and finalize the plans for picking up and delivering the item(s). A "Match Fee" will be deducted from the total accepted bid price, and the balance of the funds will be placed into your account on the site. Once the other party has confirmed that the shipment was received, the funds will be made available to you through one of our payment methods.
Once the shipment is complete, you will have the opportunity to leave feedback for the other party using our feedback system. This will alow you to tell other shippers how your overall experience was. The system is designed to prevent others from dealing with uneeded hassles, and promote a positive overall experience. | | | | Website Role | The role of this site is to nothing more than a neutral venue providing the service of connecting individuals, commercial entities, or a combination of both. Our soul purpose is to provide a method of communication, and to place you, as a registered user, in contact with a potential match for your needs.
Due to the nature and intent of this website, we collect a "Match Fee" for each connection that is made using our provided service(s). This match fee is a percentage of the total accepted bid ammount, and is deducted from the funds deposited by the listing party. The percentage deducted from each accepted bid is outlined in our Terms and Conditions under the heading "Fees".
We will provide you the necessary information to communicate with the associated party once the final bid has been accepted and the "Match Fee" has been collected. Once contact information has been provided, it is up to you to complete the transaction with the other party.
